Terms and Conditions for TheCARS - The Complete Automotive Relocation Service
In these terms, "We," "Us," "Our," and "TheCARS" refer to The Complete Automotive Relocation Service. "You," "Your," and "Customer" refer to the individual or entity utilising our services. "Vehicle" refers to any car, van, or other automotive transport subject to our services.
By using our services, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
TheCARS provides vehicle collection and delivery services across the UK using trade plate drivers. This service ensures that vehicles are covered for road tax and insurance during transit.
a) All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
b) Full payment is required prior to the commencement of service.
c) We reserve the right to adjust prices due to unforeseen circumstances.
d) Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue and include fuel and associated charges.
e) Vehicles must be ready for collection on the agreed date; failure to do so will incur an abort fee equal to 100% of the job's value.
f) Collection and delivery addresses must match those provided at the time of quotation; any changes may result in additional costs or cancellation of the job.
a) Vehicles must possess a valid MOT certificate.
b) Vehicles must be in a drivable condition; non-drivable vehicles will not be collected or delivered.
c) Customers must accurately describe the vehicle's condition prior to transport.
d) We are not responsible for pre-existing damage not noted before transport.
e) We reserve the right to refuse transport of vehicles deemed unsafe or illegal.
a) Each vehicle is insured up to £75,000 during transportation under our trade plate service, applicable only when the vehicle is under our direct care and control.
b) Our insurance does not cover personal items left in vehicles.
c) We are not liable for mechanical or electrical failures during transport.
d) Our liability is limited to the value of our service fee, except where prohibited by law.
TheCARS also provides vehicle transportation using dedicated trucks and trailers, suitable for various types of vehicles.

b) Customers must accurately describe the vehicle's condition prior to transport, including whether it is a non-runner or requires winching.
c) We reserve the right to refuse transport of vehicles deemed unsafe or illegal.
a) Each vehicle transported using our trucks or trailers is insured up to £100,000 under Goods in Transit Insurance.
b) We are not liable for any damages incurred during winching operations where vehicles are either breakdowns or non-runners. If a vehicle requires winching, we will not be responsible for damages caused by winch cables or vehicle trims rubbing against cables or ramps due to flat tyres or lowered vehicles. Recovery or transportation will not occur if this requirement is not communicated in advance.
a) A towing eye must be present for us to winch your vehicle onto our trucks if it cannot be driven. If a towing eye is absent, we may connect the winch to the vehicle’s wishbone; however, we are not responsible for any damage this may cause, particularly to the underside of the front bumper from rubbing against the winch cable.
TheCARS offers breakdown recovery services for vehicles that have become inoperable.
a) All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
b) Full payment is required prior to service commencement unless otherwise agreed upon.
a) Customers must inform us in advance if their vehicle requires recovery due to breakdown or if it is a non-runner.
b) Vehicles must be accessible for recovery; if access is restricted, we reserve the right to refuse service until access issues are resolved.
a) In the event of a vehicle breakdown during transport, recovery responsibility lies solely with the customer/vehicle owner.
b) The customer must arrange recovery of the vehicle from its breakdown location either to a safe place or its original delivery address.
c) Once a vehicle breaks down, TheCARS is no longer obligated to complete delivery as our service is limited to driven collection and delivery using trade plate drivers.
d) An optional premium service is available that covers recovery costs to the designated delivery location in case of a breakdown.
a) TheCARS is not responsible for any damage incurred due to a blown tyre during transport.
b) TheCARS is also not liable for stone chips to paintwork or glass that may occur during transportation; such damage is considered unavoidable.
a) Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to scheduled collection time; cancellations made with less notice may incur a fee.
b) Refunds are at our discretion and may be partial or full depending on circumstances.
c) No-show fees may apply if the vehicle is unavailable at the agreed time and location.
a) Ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy with sufficient fuel for loading and unloading.
b) Provide accurate pickup and delivery addresses.
c) Be available at agreed times for pickup and delivery.
d) Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle before transport.
e) Provide a full set of keys for your vehicle.
f) Ensure all necessary documentation is available.
g) Communicate any special instructions clearly at booking.
While we strive to meet agreed timeframes, delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances may occur; we are not liable for consequential losses resulting from delays.
We comply with all relevant data protection laws; please see our Privacy Policy for details.
We shall not be liable for failure due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We reserve the right to amend these terms; changes will be posted on our website.
These terms constitute your entire agreement with TheCARS regarding our services.
These terms are governed by English law; disputes fall under exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.
